My 10 yr old daughter and her friends have had an amazing time with this book learning all the routines with the rope. They absolutely love it and it's so fun to watch what they have learned - it's very impressive to watch.
it is a good game even during the winter they can play it indoors. it is a game that just one child can use with the assistance of 2 chairs.
This book was perfect; just what I had in mind. The illustrations were clear and easy to understand and there were many different jump rope games to choose from.The two Chinese jump ropes were a great bonus. I loved the whole package.
I thought the game would be fun but it is all but impossible for younger kids to understand the instructions. I would not recommend for kids under 13
I purchased this as a x-mas present for my 8 year old daughter. It keeps kids active, offers a variety of games for different numbers of players, very portable, and the book quality is great. I do wish it had a couple more games for solo play since she doesn't always have someone to play with. This game has been around for such a long time and I am so happy it still remains. However, she is creative so I am sure she'll come up with something. This book does a great job explaining how to play each game. She is always looking for new games to play by her self and with friends. I am not worried about it tearing when she takes it outside.
The 2 ropes that come with it are good quality as well. It is so inexpensive but worth so much more too. That is why I gave it a 4. I recommend this book to anyone with a child in the 7-12 age range.
